Biggest IT tender asks for waste compensation

The national government of the Netherlands is very clear on what it sees as a good way to turn circularity for IT into action. Their biggest IT tender of the decade will ask its suppliers to offer waste-compensation. The recently announced public procurement of more than 200 million euros in IT Hardware is likely to have a huge impact on the IT industry's interest in sustainable procurement. And more specifically, on waste-compensation as a pragmatic way to deliver on the growing need for more sustainable electronics.
