When you think about telecom it's amazing that a product that is so expensive to make, has traveled around the world and you love so much ends up at a waste dump. However, it is no waste if you neatly convert it to the value it has. Recycling electronic devices such as smartphones not only has the potential to create beautiful new devices and jewelry. It contributes to SDGs, reducing emissions and employee engagement.
According to a study of the Dutch gold covenant, many companies do not know how they actually handle electronics when it can no longer be used. If they do, a majority is not yet aware of the possible harmful substances in electronics that are released during irresponsible recycling. Most companies would like to reduce their environmental impact of electronics.
