Closing the Loop and Vodafone Germany have been shortlisted for a GLOMO Award 2026 in Marketing Excellence, under the new category Marketing for Good.
The GLOMO Awards, presented by the GSMA at MWC Barcelona, celebrate the companies and initiatives that move the mobile industry forward. The Marketing for Good category recognises campaigns that engage audiences while delivering measurable environmental and social impact.

From device sales to waste reduction
Through our One for One service, every new device sold by Vodafone Germany activates the collection and responsible recycling of one scrap phone in countries without formal recycling systems.
Since the start of the partnership in 2022, more than 2.7 million scrap phones have been collected.
This means that over 2.7 million customers in Germany are using a phone that directly contributes to reducing electronic waste and improving environmental conditions in regions where waste infrastructure is limited.
Embedding circularity directly into device sales is key. It turns every purchase into a tangible step towards closing the loop on electronic waste.

This nomination confirms something we strongly believe: sustainability and storytelling are no longer peripheral topics. They are strategic business drivers.
