IT service provider ilionx is strengthening its commitment to Green IT with the launch of ZeroWaste – a circular digital workspace offering that adds a closed loop on e-waste to end-user devices, like laptops, managed by ilionx.
For each device entering the managed ZeroWaste environment, an end-of-life equivalent will be collected and recycled.

With the ZeroWaste offering, ilionx becomes the first Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the Netherlands to integrate Closing the Loop’s One for One model into managed IT services. This marks a major milestone for Closing the Loop, as it expands the application of its service beyond direct hardware sales and into managed IT services.
The two companies have been partners since 2023, when ilionx began compensating internally used hardware through the One for One service. Now, the partnership is expanding significantly: Closing the Loop’s circular solution is being embedded directly into one of ilionx’s core client offerings.
ZeroWaste is built around a two-pronged approach. Through Closing the Loop, the digital workplace and devices entering the environment are offset at the point of entry. At the same time, Stichting Allemaal Digitaal delivers ITAD services for any devices leaving the managed environment.
Together, these services enable ilionx clients to meet rising circularity goals while improving their social impact throughout the full IT lifecycle in a seamless and low-priced way. It also enables ilionx to amplify its impact by addressing not only its own footprint, but also that of its clients.
Closing the Loop was previously featured in the ilionx 2024 CSR Report, and this next step reflects a significant strengthening of the partnership, highlighting a shared ambition to accelerate the shift toward a more circular IT sector.
